Registration and Information

Welcome! The AAA is pleased to invite you to register for the 2024 AAA Annual Meeting at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida. We are offering both in-person and virtual registration rates for AAA members and non-members. The member rate is based on your AAA membership status. Please login to your AAA account to check your membership status.

  • In-person and virtual registration rates do not include AAA membership dues, food, hotel or travel costs associated with attending the Annual Meeting.
  • Virtual registrants will not receive an in-person registration badge.
  • If you register for virtual and would like to attend in-person you will need to pay the difference between the rate you paid for your virtual registration and the current onsite registration price of your membership category.

Anthropologist Support Program

We understand that many members face different and emergent financial circumstances and are grateful for our community’s willingness to support one another during challenging times. As an add-on option to your registration, you have the option to contribute to the Anthropologist Support Program in the increments of $10. All donated funds will be used to pay registration rates for AAA members who apply for financial assistance to attend the meeting. You can also make a stand-alone donation to the fund and under “Designate your gift” select Annual Meeting Financial Assistance.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Meeting Attendees (non-session participants)

  • Refund requests or cancellations must be made by Friday, October 4, 11:59pm ET.
  • Refund requests are subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
  • No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
  • Badge sharing and splitting are prohibited.

In-Person and Virtual Session participants (organizers, chairs, presenters, and discussants)

  • Registration for the Annual Meeting is your commitment to participating in the 2024 AAA Annual Meeting.
  • If your proposal is accepted onto the program, your registration fee is non-refundable.
  • If your proposal is not accepted, your registration fee is refundable if you submit a refund request prior to the October 4 deadline.

No refunds will be granted for any request received after Friday, October 4, 2024.
