Annual Meeting Proposal Eligibility

AAA or CASCA membership and registration for the Annual Meeting is not required for anyone wishing to submit a proposal. Participants, if selected for the program, will be required to register for the meeting by Friday, September 08, 2023, and become a AAA or CASCA member in order to participate.

If a participant is an anthropologist outside the U.S. or Canada, or is a non-anthropologist and plans to present as part the program and does not wish to join the AAA or CASCA, they will need to complete a request via the Non-Member Guest Presenter Registration Rate Request Form, formerly known as a Member Exemption by Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Membership

Members of AAA and CASCA: Discounted registration rates are a member benefit, and you must be an active AAA or CASCA member at the time of registration to receive the discount. To check your membership status with the AAA, log into Anthro Gateway. You can join AAA online, or check out AAA’s updated membership dues page for more information. You can join CASCA online and find more information about CASCA membership on their website, or by emailing their Executive Director. Important note: To receive the member’s registration pricing, please make sure your AAA/CASCA membership is active before you register for the annual meeting. If it is not active, you will need to pay to renew your membership before you will be able to get the member’s registration price. Please complete the membership transaction first, and then register for the annual meeting after your membership is active, in another transaction. If you register before or at the same time that you renew your membership, the price will not be updated to the membership price point. If you need to renew your membership, you can do so here.

Non-members: Non-anthropologists and anthropologists from outside of the US or Canada are encouraged to join AAA or CASCA to receive the member discount and other benefits (AAA or CASCA). If granted this rate, participants are exempt from the requirement to join the AAA or CASCA, but then must pay nonmember Registration rates for the meeting.
