Executive Call for Participation Guidelines

  • Executive submissions are directly related to the 2024 Annual Meeting theme, Praxis.
  • Eligible submissions will provide statement about how the submission has incorporated the goals of equity, diversity of session participants, such as organizational/institutional affiliation, career stage, race, ethnicity, disability, sexuality, class, religion, national identity, and gender.
  • Proposals for Executive Sessions that demonstrated a commitment to equity and inclusion and/or a clear analysis of power (i.e. anti-imperialist, anti-white supremacist, decolonial, anti-ableist, feminist, anti-transphobic, anti-xenophobic, etc.) are given priority.
  • Selection for Executive submissions is highly competitive and only a limited number of submissions will be accepted.
  • The accept/decline notifications will be sent the week of April 8.
  • If the executive submission is not accepted, submitters have the option to resubmit their session to the General Call for Participation.

There are two submission types for the Executive Call for Participation:

  • Oral Presentation Sessions (in-person only)
  • Roundtable/ Town Hall (in-person or virtual live)
